We Are Each Other’s Beloved

Have you ever taken a moment to truly know your neighbors? 

Those people or families who live down the street, around the corner, or even right below you? 

It’s time to embrace the power of genuine connection….

Treating everyone around us with the same love, care, and respect we reserve for our dearest partners. Although it may seem like a bit of a stretch in today’s world, just imagine if we all tried, even just a little bit.

However, lots of us have gotten stuck in our own little bubbles, glued to our screens. And because of that, our society has become divided, and we’ve kind of forgotten how to love and respect our neighbors like we used to.

Here in Eden World, we have a community of like-minded couples committed to living by 12 relational principles. 

One of the Eden World Principles is our principle #2…“We Are Each Other’s Beloved”. 

We challenge ourselves to hold not only our own relationships, but also those of our fellow couples and individuals. This is to have a higher standard of respect, honor, and appreciation. By doing so, we unlock profound depths of bonding, connection, and friendship.  These in turn lead to incredible self-reflection and personal growth.

Now, let’s be real. We all encounter those moments when someone just pushes our buttons, and it’s tempting to lose our cool.

Haven’t you ever felt like you could energetically strangle someone? Trust me, we’ve been there too. But guess what?

It’s crucial to remember that they are simply living their lives, doing the best they can with what they’ve got.

So the question is….how can we love ourselves enough to avoid getting consumed by rage triggered by external factors that have nothing to do with us? 

They are on their journey, just as we are on ours… let’s grant them the grace they deserve.

So, the next time you catch sight of your neighbor stepping into their car or hear the joyful footsteps of the child upstairs, pause for a moment. Tune into your heart and consider how you can infuse this encounter with warmth, empathy, and genuine connection. Perhaps a friendly wave, a warm greeting, or an introduction is all it takes to ignite the flame of connection.
